I love bulldog puppies, 5.o litre engines, summertime and grey sweaters. There are just some things in life that are your faves and a thick, grey crewneck sweater is one of mine. No matter what my style has evolved to and from over the last decade as an adult, the crewneck sweater has been a staple. You all know I love pieces that are versatile and you all know I appreciate classic menswear so it just fits right for me and my style.

When summer starts to wind down I always scour the shops for new crewneck sweaters to add to my rotation. Normally I don’t gravitate to heavily branded pieces but immediately fell in love with this one from Bench. The embroidered front is really tastefully done and gives it a cozy, all-American kind of vibe. (TIP: H&M releases 3 or 4 colours of crewnecks sweaters every season for just $14.99)

It was just a couple of weeks back that I posted some thoughts on what I called ‘The Look’. The GQ-inspired slim trouser paired with the tucked in tee. It quickly became my late summer go-to outfit for those evening events and dinners with friends. Well, I guess I am now introducing to you ‘The Look 2.0″. Listen, this isn’t a game-changing fusion of menswear here but it is a gentle reminder that just a few classic pieces can be put together to create a truly effortless look. Distressed denim, a fitted crewneck sweater and a sharp pair of suede Chelsea boots. I can’t tell you enough just how good this look felt when I had it on. It was comfortable and just felt…easy.

I say all you fellas should do a little weekend shopping and put together the look. Make sure to tag me in in your Insta pics so I can have a peek. Peace out guys!
